Chapter 1: TheBeginningMaking money on Instagram all startedfor me back when I was still using theapp for recreational purposes. At thetime, I was following an Instagram pagerelated to super cars that posted photosof Ferraris and corvettes.
One day, I noticed that the page I wasfollowing was doing sponsored posts. Itwas advertising t-shirts, luxury caraccessories and even high end wallets. At first I figured that the page wasadvertising its own products. But as timewent on, I realized that the luxury carInstagram page was simply promotingproducts for companies. Even BMWwas using this page to promote its new
clothing line. Out of curiosity I began to do myresearch, wondering how much theseInstagram users were getting paid topost. I contacted several pages, asking ifthey’d spare me a minute to answersome questions over Skype. Eventually, I found a guy named Pat,
who agreed to Skype me for ten minutesor so. He explained to me that he made$100 every time someone purchased asponsored post on his page, which at thetime had 600k followers. I then asked him how much time he spentrunning his Instagram page. The answer?Only 20 minutes each day.
For the time commitment that was afantastic return! And what was evenbetter was that people with over amillion followers, were making $500plus per post. After that Skype call, I instantly jumpedinto the Instagram game, learningeverything I possibly could about theplatform. It’s now my main and greatest
source of income, making me over sixfigures each year. The best part being that you can run anInstagram page from anywhere. In acoffee shop, in a hotel, and it only takesminutes of your time to post. You don’tneed to be a master at creating content,or even be an entertaining character. Allyou need to do is find quality pictures
that you can repost.
Chapter 2: TheMindset Always Expand your Knowledge To start this book off, I’d like topersonally thank you for purchasing mye-book and taking a chance on me tofurther your knowledge and expand what
you know about Instagram. By taking thisfirst step, you have already proven thatyou are willing to invest in youreducation. This is a crucial idea that youwill have to embrace in order to becomesuccessful online. The reason being thatthe online world of social media isconstantly changing. From myexperience, the people that make themost money on the Internet, are the ones
that are constantly learning and teachingthemselves new tricks and techniques tofurther their business. So keep that in mind as you begin tomake extra income off of social mediaand the internet. Always set aside aportion of your earnings that you willuse to further develop your knowledgeand understanding of Internet business
and Internet marketing. There’s alwayssomething new that can be learned, andeven the slightest detail can give you theupper edge. Just to give you an example of this, afriend of mine was making a great dealof money from his Facebook page that heused to target a very specific niche.Using Facebook ads, he quickly grew his
business and began making a lot ofmoney selling various health relatedproducts to his targeted following. Astime went on, the niche that he wastargeting started to become more andmore saturated, making it harder for himto make a large profit on the productsthat he was selling. In short, he wasforced to shrink his profit margins.Another friend of mine that I actually met
at a conference, was in the same sort ofbusiness, using Facebook groups andFacebook ads to sell an arsenal ofdifferent products. However, unlike myfirst friend, he educated himself dailyand discovered that there was enormouspotential on different platforms besidesjust Facebook. Using his knowledge, hequickly expanded his business on toInstagram, twitter, Pinterest, and even
YouTube. The two friends both started in relativelythe same place. However, one chose toadapt to the changes in the social mediarealm, making his business triple whilethe first friends business shrunk. In the world of online business, it isessential to be constantly expanding, and
researching how you can further developyour audience and customers. Now Iknow this book is about Instagram, but Ijust want you to keep all of this in mindwhile you are reading. Instagram isprobably the hottest social mediaplatform for making money today, butthat doesn’t mean that it will always bethis way in the future. Furthermore, Ipredict that Snapchat will in fact
dominate in the years to come. With thisbeing said, you should try to use thegrowth that you will experience onInstagram to build an empire of socialmedia followings, spread across avariety of different networks. The Instagram Battle In order to make money on Instagram,
you need a large following of people. The more followers that you have, themore money you will make. With thatbeing said, gaining followers onInstagram can be extremely tiresome andgruelling. Always remember the endgame, andconstantly remind yourself why you aredoing this in the first place. There will
be days during your Instagram journeywhen you just don’t feel like posting, and feel like you are making noprogress. This is all part of the process.Gaining a following on Instagram andbuilding up a network of niche relatedfollowers is something that requires aninsane amount of patience andpersistence.
You don’t need to necessarily be smartto make money on Instagram, in factanybody can do it. The skills that youneed are only patience and persistence, like I said above. If you have those twoqualities, you are more than capable ofbuilding accounts that will have over 1million followers. The Time Frame
So now that I have explained howdifficult this journey is going to be, youare probably wondering how long it isgoing to take before you start noticingreal results on Instagram. Personally, ittook me around a year to build a200,000 follower Instagram page, and 21/2 years to build a 1 million followerInstagram page. Once you pass the 1
million follower mark, you will easilybe making over $100,000 per year, assuming that a large portion of yourfollowers are engaged. So if you look at that time frame, youwill potentially be making one hundredthousand dollars in a time line of almost3 years, assuming that you stick with itevery single day and never give up. If
you think about it, that’s not really a longtime to go from making zero dollars$100,000. College students have to stayin schools for four years just to get adegree! Also, once you have a page with 1million followers, it will be a lot easierfor you to grow even more pages andexpand on to other social media
platforms. I will explain all of this lateron in the book, and will teach you howto grow on social media exponentially. Just keep in mind that the first milestonesare always the hardest. The firstthousand followers and the first 100,000followers will always be harder than thenext.
Chapter 3:Choosing yourNiche So now that you have a little bit ofbackground information, and a little bitof motivation, let’s get right into startingyour business on Instagram.
The first step, is to pick your niche. Thiscan be dogs, cats, trucks, travel photos, funny memes, interesting quotes, business quotes etc. just make sure thatwhatever you choose, you are extremelyinterested in the subject. You are goingto be working with your niche everysingle day, so you want to make sure thatit’s something that you enjoy.
Also, when thinking about your niche itis important to do a little bit of researchbefore jumping right in. You’ll want tohead over to Instagram and check outhow many other pages are in the sameniche as you. When looking, you want tomake sure that there as at least one otherpage that has 1 million followers in thesame general category. This is becauseyou don’t want to pick a niche that
people will not be interested in. An example of a good niche, is trucks, and truck related posts. An example of abad niche is ice fishing in the Yukon. Asmuch as you may love ice fishing in theYukon, it’s simply not something that themass public would be interested in.Trucks on the other hand, is a niche thatcan be expanded upon and broken down
into sub niches. Let’s say that for your first Instagrampage you decide to create a generaltrucks fan page. Not a bad idea. Fromthere, once that account starts to grow, you can expand by creating otherInstagram pages that focus on Fordtrucks, Chevy trucks, and dare I say itDodge trucks. The same principle can be
applied within an Instagram page aboutdogs or puppies. Once your main pagestarts to pick up traction, you can thenexpand by creating smaller pagesfocusing on different types of dog breedssuch as pugs, German shepherds, orwhatever. The main page, or the general nichepage, is what will be bringing in the
majority of traffic. The smaller sub nichepages, is what you will use to lasertarget your followers. Think about howmuch easier it would be to sell a pug T-shirt to a fan page about pugs rather thana general puppy lovers page. So just to recap, pick a niche that youlove and are interested in, but make sureit’s broad enough that you can zoom in
on more targeted niches. After you’vecome up with that niche, write it downon a piece of paper. Now go and dosome research. Find out how many otherInstagram pages are in the that sameniche, and see how many followers theyhave. The goal is to find a niche with atleast one page over 1 million followers, and to find a page that you couldoutperform with better quality posts.
A lot of the popular Instagram pagesthese days, are run by people who quitefrankly don’t care about the quality oftheir posts. They post blurry pictures anddon’t even bother to write a caption. Why? Well because they got into thegame early. These types of accountsmost likely started their fan pages rightis Instagram was becoming increasingly
popular. I’ve seen countless pages withmillions of followers that post verycrappy pictures. Anybody, especiallyyou, can do a better job. So when youfind a crappy Instagram page that hasover 1 million followers in the niche thatyou’re interested in, you should get veryexcited. Keeping the End Game in Mind
When choosing your Instagram niche, it’simportant to have some sort of end gameor end goal in mind. How are youplanning to monetize your Instagrampage? Are you going to create a webstore? Are you going to sell shoutouts? Ifyou’re going to sell shoutouts, how manylarge companies are out there that couldpotential be interested? Just have some
sort of idea. Most Instagram niches can be monetizedin some way shape or form, it’s just amatter of discovering what yourInstagram followers truly want. The only niches that are extremely hardto monetize are celebrity fan pages andpages related to specific movies etc.
Most of the time, fan pages slowly fadeaway, and the followers becomedisinterested with the movie once it hasbeen out for a couple of years. The onlyInstagram page that I’ve seen able tomonetize in this type of niche was aHarry Potter fan page, and they had aweb store selling replica wands for asteep price. Now although this may havebeen a good idea, you’ll want to choose
a niche that is long term, something isn’ta fad and something that will still bearound in ten years.
Chapter 4:Choosing YourUsername Once you’ve done your research andhave a niche in mind, (something you’reinterested in), it’s time to choose ausername. Usernames need to be simple, memorable, and straight to the point. The
better your username, the more of anadvantage you will have on Instagram. Here’s some basic guidelines: Do not use numbers in your username.Using numbers in your username willonly confuse people and will hurt yourranking on Instagram’s search. If youstart a page called “puppyphotos31” thatposts puppy memes, what’s to stop
someone else from making a pagecalled: “puppyphotos32.” It will simplyleave everyone very confused. The onlyexception is if the numbers are directlyrelated to your niche, such as”420humor.” Use your niche’s keyword first.Trucksdaily will always be a moreeffective username than dailytruckposts.
When looking for a username, you wantto make sure that your main keyword isfirst, as that is what people will besearching for. Underscores are ok if you areseparating words.I actually own an Instagram page with anunderscore that gained followersextremely quickly. At first I was
skeptical about using an underscore, butit actually proved to be more effectivebecause I could isolate my keyword.Something like trucks_daily is a reallygood username. Another tip is to try toonly use two words when usingunderscores. Truck_postsdaily isn’t ausername that you would want. Don’t make your username too long.
This one isn’t a huge deal but if you can,try to pick a username that is short and tothe point. There’s no need to stress out aboutfinding the perfect username. You canalways change it later on down the roadby simply going into your accountsettings. Also, if you’re getting stucktrying to find an available username, try
looking at the account names of some ofthe larger accounts in different niches. This will help you generate some ideasfor your specific niche. Here’s someexamples to get you started: trucks_dailytruck_dominationtruckloverfoodporn
fitness_mentoryogapostsdailycooking_clips You get the idea. Just try and make surethat the word people will be searchingfor, is first.
Chapter 5: Setup After you’ve secured a username thatyou feel is worthy of your niche, it’s timeto begin setting up your page to look asprofessional as possible. Take your timewhen choosing a profile picture, adescription, and the title of yourInstagram page.
It’s a good idea to have a customdesigned profile picture to match thename of your Instagram page. If you arefamiliar with Photoshop, you can do thisquite easily using their tools. If you don’thave Photoshop, you can use pixlr, which is a free and more basic versionof Photoshop.
Lastly, if you have no Photoshop skillswhatsoever, you can head on over tofiverr.com and pay somebody fivebucks to design a custom logo andprofile picture for your new Instagrampage. If you have a really long username,it might be a good idea not to includeyour username in the profile photo. Lookaround at what your competitors aredoing, take note of what profile pictures
they are using and ask yourself how youcan do it better. You want a profilepicture that will entice people to clickon your Instagram page, something boldthat stands out. If you are starting a truck page, you’llprobably want to have the most bad asstruck picture you can find as your profilepicture.
When writing the title of your Instagrampage, it’s important to include yourkeyword as the first word, just like yourusername. So if you are running a funnymeme’s page, the title of the page shouldbe something like: “Humor Daily.” Finally, in the description of yourInstagram page, you’ll want to write
something short and simple about whatyour Instagram page is all about.Another good idea for your description,is to add some sort of contactinformation, such as an email address ora kik username. By adding your contactinformation, you are leaving yourselfopen to network with other Instagramaccounts.
It is also a good idea to get a hashtagstarted for your Instagram account. Youcan do this by writing in the descriptiona little snippet that looks something likethis: “Tag #truckpostsdaily to be featured onour page!” This lets new followers know that if they
post a picture of their truck, and use thathashtag, they can be featured andpromoted on your page. By doing this, you will increase exposure to yourInstagram page, and will also find freecontent that you can use to post on yourInstagram page. Before getting followers…
Before you go out and hunt forfollowers, it’s important to add somecontent to your Instagram page, so thatyour page doesn’t look plain orabandoned. I’d recommend posting atleast 10 photos on your page, before yougo out and start following people. You’llwant these 10 photos to be really uniqueand eye-catching, so take your time whenlooking. A great place to look for photos
to post on Instagram, is Pinterest andTumblr. Post something popular that a lotof people already like and haveresponded to on these other social mediawebsites. Think of some clever Captions to usewith these first photos, and make surethat you use your hashtag with each post.People are not going to want to follow
and Instagram page that has no captions, because it looks like you are just a robotautomatically throwing pictures out onyour Instagram page.
Chapter 6: GainingFollowers Finally, after hunting down a username, filling your Instagram page with goodquality content and captions, it’s time tobegin the long process of findingfollowers.
At first, you will need to reach out topeople in some way shape or form. Thismeans following people, liking theirphotos, commenting on their photos, getting your Instagram page out ondifferent social media, and more! It willbe the most time consuming andchallenging part of your journey which iswhy I will make this section of the bookthe most detailed.
To begin this section, I want to start offby saying that it will be easier to gainfollowers once you already have adecent following (ten thousand people)which means that for the first bit, you’regoing to be on the grind to 10k. The fastest way and cheapest way togain 10k followers is to start off by
following people that you believe willbe interested in your page. You can dothis all manually, or you can use a bot, that will automatically follow peoplethat are likely to follow your page. First, I will explain the manual aspect ofthis process. If you have the time(example sitting bored in class withnothing to do) doing the following
process manually will be your fastestoption. In fact, if you really wanted to,you could probably gain 10k followersin a week just by manually followingpeople. So who do you follow? From my experience, if you are doingeverything manually, the best people to
follow are the ones who have recentlyliked a photo. I’ll give you an example. Let’s say you’re starting a pageregarding sports cars. So, in order togain your first followers, what youshould do is find another page onInstagram (preferably with over amillion followers) that posts sports carrelated posts. The trick is to wait until
that page posts a photo. Within the firsthour of the photo being posted, whatyou’re then going to do is follow all ofthe people that have LIKED their newpost. Follow as many of them as youcan, and refresh the image constantly sothat you are following LIVE users thathave liked the sports car related photowithin the last couple of seconds.
This is how you INSTANTLY gainfollowers. Because these people arelive, you will be gaining followersextremely quickly. You can also follow the other Instagramaccount’s followers, however from myexperience, following the users that haverecently liked one of their photos is themost effective way.
Hashtags Another great way to gain followersmanually is to like photos with aparticular hashtag that is directly relatedto your page. In the case of the car page, you could use a hashtag such as“#sportscar.” Go through and like all ofthe most recently posted photos, as these
pictures will have likely been postedwithin the last couple of minutes, givingyou live Instagram users as well. Gaining Followers AutomaticallyUsing a Bot Ok so what if you don’t want to do allthis manually? Let’s say you’re a littlemore patient, and can tolerate waiting a
little longer to get your 10k followers.Well, in that case, I’d highly recommendthat you purchase a bot, that canautomatically like photos, comment, andfollow users. I’ve used bots to grow allof my Instagram accounts, and havenever been banned once from Instagram(fingers crossed.) If you’re going to go the bot route, I must
warn you that it is possible for yourInstagram account to get banned if youpush the limits too much. The key is tokeep the bot’s settings reasonable, sothat you fly under Instagram’s radar. Ialso believe that Instagram isn’t lookingto ban accounts that are reasonably usingbots to gain exposure for their account. In fact, most large pages on Instagramhave used a bot at one point or another.
There are many Instagram bots out there, but the only one that I’ve used is calledFollowliker. It works flawlessly, hasconstant updates, and has great customersupport. I’ve never had any trouble withtheir services, so I’d highly recommendthat if you’re going to use a bot, to usefollowliker.
If you want to use a different bot forwhatever reason, make sure that thedeveloper has some sort of credibility, otherwise they can simply hack and takeyour account. I’ve met and know a lot oflarge Instagram account users who usefollowliker, and they’ve never had aproblem with hacks or account stealing.Besides, after you gain around 50kfollowers or so, there will be no need
for you to use follow liker for thatcertain account, unless you are going touse the bot to automatically postpictures. Another bonus about followliker is thatyou can manage multiple Instagramaccounts, giving you morediversification when it comes to yourniches. I want to point out that you
shouldn’t run more than FIVE Instagramaccounts on followliker at a given time, otherwise you may face a ban fromInstagram. To this day I am running five Instagramaccounts with followliker, and have hadno issues whatsoever. In terms of settings with followliker, I
keep the activity that the bot does veryconservative to avoid raising red flagson Instagram. I also don’t use the“follow” and “unfollow” settings at thesame time. I wait until the accounts havefollowed around 1500 people, and thenturn off the “follow” setting, and turn on“unfollow.” I also don’t overdo it withthe likes and features of the bot, instead Imake all of the settings very realistic.
I could cover all of the settings I usewith the program, however there is afantastic instruction manual/tutorial thatcomes with the bot when you purchaseit. If you’re going to invest in one thingfor your Instagram journey, I’drecommend investing in followliker. Itcosts around $70.
Chapter 7: BuyingInstagram Accounts If you don’t want to start an Instagramaccount from scratch, buying anInstagram account is an option. However, you have to be EXTREMELYcareful when it comes to finding anactual and legit Instagram page. I’ve
bought multiple Instagram accounts overthe last couple of months, and I’vealways been extremely diligent when itcomes to doing the research. To start, if you’re going to be buying anInstagram account, I’d recommendbuying them over a platform that hassome sort of safety or insurance behindit, such as Ebay. In fact, all of my
Instagram account purchases have beendone over Ebay. This is because, Ebayhas a buyer protection program, toprotect buyers like yourself fromscammers and con artists. If you can, tryto purchase Instagram accounts fromfriends or friends of friends. Many of myaccount purchases were made throughsomeone I know in the Internet marketingrealm. The more unknown the person is,
the more your money is at risk. If you’re going to buy an account, I’drecommend NOT buying an account withover 50k followers. Accounts that areover 50k followers will be extremelyexpensive, leaving you at more risk toscammers. Plus, people with largeaccounts usually know the value of theiraccount, and probably wouldn’t be
interested in selling in the first place. Another thing to watch for is fakefollowers and fake likes. A lot of EbayInstagram account listings arecompletely fake accounts, which canleave you bummed and discouraged. These accounts purchase fake followers, likes and comments from websites likefivver.com.
I’d recommend buying an Instagramaccount in the 10k to 20k follower range. This should cost you anywhere from $50to $300 depending on how active theusers are. When looking to purchase an Instagramaccount, there’s a number of things thatyou should check before buying, just to
make sure that you aren’t buying a fakeaccount. Here’s a list: -The account should have over 100posts -Check the followers to make sure themajority have profile pictures -Check the followers and see how many
posts they have. Also make sure thatthey aren’t following thousands ofpeople. -Check for legitimate comments. Somefake accounts have fake likes with nocomments. -Check the selling history of the Ebayseller by clicking on their username. If
they have any negative feedback at all, don’t do the deal. Another thing to mention is that youshould make the purchase over Ebay. Alot of the time, these eBay listers will tryand do the transaction off of eBay, withdirect paypal. Do NOT do this, you willlose your buyer protection, which iswhat the scammers want.
After Purchasing the Account: As soon as you purchase an Instagramaccount off of Ebay, you shouldimmediately change the password, email, phone number and perhaps theusername if there is numbers in theusername.
With every Instagram account I’vepurchased off of Ebay, I’ve alwaysremained in the same niche, but changedthe username. If the seller doesn’t evenknow your new username, there’s noway they could ever regain access to theaccount.
Chapter 8: BuyingShoutouts Purchasing shoutouts is a fantastic wayto grow your Instagram account. Irecommended not purchasing shoutoutsuntil you have at least 10k followers, since your page will be more attractiveonce you’ve gained a following.
To purchase shoutouts, search forInstagram accounts that are in the sameniche as yourself, but with morefollowers. Usually, they’ll leave a KIKcontact username, or an email address.Simply ask them how much a shoutout isgoing to cost, and compare the priceswith other accounts.
Personally, I’ve never been scammedwhen purchasing shoutouts, so don’tworry too much about that aspect. You can find shoutouts for cheap onfiverr.com buysellshoutouts, and evenebay. What to Post for your Shoutouts
Before purchasing a shoutout, you’llwant to test the picture or video on yourpage first, just to make sure that it’sgoing to be a successful post. What I liketo do is take my most commented onphoto and use that for my shoutouts thatI’m doing with larger accounts. For your caption, you want it to look asnatural and as less spammy as possible.
For myself, my most successful captionshave been something like: “Found this hilarious vid on@funnymemes, check them out.” It’s simple and informative. If yourdescription is too long, people might noteven bother to read it. Try to avoidcaptions like:
FOLLOW @FUNNYMEMES @FUNNYMEMES@FUNNYMEMES@FUNNYMEMES Honestly, everyone on Instagram doesthis, and I can tell you from personal
experience, it doesn’t work anymore.People just see that as spam, and willeven be annoyed with your page.
Chapter 9: GrowingYour InstagramEmpire Once one of your Instagram pages beginsgaining traction, you can use yourfollowing to jump start anotherInstagram page. I’ll give you anexample.
Let’s say you have a puppy page with100k followers. You’ve been buildingthis page up for the last 6 months, andhave decided that you’re ready to startanother Instagram page. Try to keep yoursecond Instagram page in the same niche, but make it somewhat different. If youhave a puppy page where you postpictures, create a second Instagram
account where you post short videoclips. This way, you can give yourselfshoutouts. Eventually, once your secondInstagram page has been jumpstarted, you won’t even need to give it shoutoutsanymore, as it will start to grownaturally. I’ve seen an Instagram pagewith 500k followers grow a second
Instagram page to 200k followers in lessthan 6 months! You can literally use this method as adomino effect, and create an absoluteempire on Instagram. Shoutout for Shoutout A great way to grow your Instagram
following is to find accounts that have asimilar number of followers as yourself.Message them, email them, and networkwith them. There are many Internetmarketing forums such as blackhatworldwhere you can find hundreds ofInstagram users like yourself. Building a community and a team ofpeople on Instagram is also a fantastic
way to build momentum when growingon Instagram. You’ll learn twice as fast, and will make fewer mistakes when itcomes to building a large following, andmaximizing your profits. You can find “Instagramers” onFacebook in Facebook groups, forums, youtube, and more. Search around, collect Skype names, and talk Instagram
strategy. You’ll be surprised how muchyou’ll learn. Set a monthly or weeklyskype meeting time, so that you get intothe habit of meeting with your team, andgrowing your team. From personal experience, I’ve gained alot of internet marketing knowledge fromsimple skype meetings. Business ideasare generated, and everyone in the group
benefits immensely. The fastest way tolearn, is always by talking to someonedirectly. Skype enables this.
Chapter 10: MakingMoney onInstagram By now you’re probably wondering howall of your hard work is going to pay off.How are you going to monetize yourfollowers and following? Well, thereisn’t one correct method or way to do
this. It really all depends on your niche, your engagement, and what yourfollowers want. In the next sections of this book, I’ll becovering all the ways that I know of tomonetize your Instagram account. (Youcan even use several at the same time!) This next chapter is going to be
absolutely packed full of information. What I’d recommend you do is to readone method a day, and do your ownresearch on each monetization method.Grab a notepad, watch youtube tutorials, read blogs, and research the method untilyou fully understand it. In order toproperly monetize your Instagram page, you’re going to need to know all of theoptions, and pick the best one for your
audience. This book would be extremely long if Iwent into detail on each method, however I will try to be as concise aspossible. Selling Shoutouts: This is the most common way to make
money on Instagram. The more followersthat you have, the more you’ll makeselling Instagram shoutouts. Personally, Imake around $300 a day just sellingshoutouts on my different Instagramaccounts. And the best part is, I don’tneed to do much advertising. For themost part, people come to me, askinghow much I charge for shoutouts.
I leave my email address and my KIKusername in my page’s description, andpeople contact me daily. Because I havemany different Instagram accounts, I’vecreated multiple emails for eachaccount, so that I don’t get confused. Ithen set up an auto responder, that willautomatically give people my rates, mypaypal email, and information. Thiscompletely automates the shoutout
process. I can literally wake up, checkmy paypal account, and find people whohave paid me to post shoutouts for theday. When you’re just getting started withselling shoutouts, I’d recommend notautomating the process at first. Deal withpeople directly, as you will have ahigher conversion rate. The reason why
I’ve made my shoutout process automaticis because I get too many requestsanyway, and I don’t want to constantlyspam my pages with ads and promotions.A good guideline is to only post amaximum of two shoutouts each day, sothat you don’t anger your followers. Themore shoutouts you post, the slower yourInstagram account will grow becausepeople tend not to tag their friends on
sponsored posts. If you’re just starting out with sellingshoutouts, I’d recommend creating a GIGon fiverr.com or creating an eBay listing. This will get people purchasingshoutouts from you even if you only havea small following (10k-50k followers).Once you get an initial base of peoplebuying shoutouts from fiverr, you can
make them reoccurring customers off offiverr through direct messaging andpaypal. Another tip is to make sure you grabeach person’s email address. Create amailing list compiled of people that havepurchased shoutouts in the past. Eachmonth, offer discounts to everyone onthis mailing list, to remind them of your
shoutout services. Often times, companies forget about the positiveexperience that they had with yourInstagram account. A friendly email, is agreat way to remind them. Pricing Shoutouts: How you price your shoutouts and ratesgenerally is based on your niche and the
amount of followers you have. Someniches simply have more shoutoutdemand than others, raising the priceshigher. Car and fitness pages forexample make much more than a humorpage of the same following. This isbecause it’s easier to sell things on carand fitness niches, as the audience ismore targeted.
Another tip when selling shoutouts is toinclude bundle prices. If you normallycharge $100 for a 24 hour shoutout, tellyour potential buyer that you’ll sell themthree 24 hour shoutouts for $90 each orfive 24 hour shoutouts for $80 each. Themore people buy in bulk, the moremoney you will make in the long run.The reason I’m able to make so muchfrom shoutouts is because I have around
10 companies that buy 5+ bulk shoutoutseach month, giving me a solid basis ofincome. Reaching Out to Companies Once you’ve reached around 200kfollowers or so, and have a wellestablished Instagram page, it’s time tostart contacting companies. You’ll want
to find businesses that are run by theiroriginal owner, so that you can contactthem directly. Don’t try and make dealswith massive companies like Walmart orBestbuy. You should be looking for small tomedium sized companies that are run byone to five people. Online businessesand companies tend to have a higher
conversion rate, although localbusinesses buy shoutouts as well. Try tolook for online companies that areselling a specific product that is directlyrelated to your niche. They’llimmediately realize the value that yourInstagram page can be to their company. Your goal should be to sell thesecompanies a package of shoutouts (a
shoutout each week for a month), for abulk price. So if you have 250kfollowers, and sell shoutouts for $100each, sell the package for $350. Mostcompanies have an advertising budget, and will happily spend $350 each monthfor some quality advertising. If you have 10 companies or so buyingfrom you each month, you’ll be making
$3500 on autopilot. As time goes on, youcan raise the prices with thesecompanies, and keep up a goodrelationship. When wording your email to thesecompanies, make sure that you includethe amount of followers that you have.As soon as the owner sees, “250k nicherelated followers,” they’ll instantly
become interested. Here’s an example ofan email: “Dear (Company Name)My name is Rick and I’m reaching outon behalf of my Instagram page@puppyphotos. We have 250k followersthat all own and love puppies. We thinkthat your product would work reallywell with our page, and was wondering
if you’d be interested in doing somemonthly advertising with us. We offer apackage deal of 4 featured promotionsfor $350 a month.Let me know if you’re interested, thanksfor your time,-Rick. It’s important to get the company thinkingabout monthly rates. If you make it seem
like a onetime deal, chances are it willbe. You want to get the subscriptionmentality in the back of their head. E-Commerce Web Stores: Web stores definitely have the mostpotential out of all the money makingmethods with Instagram. This is becauseit gives you a chance to build a
permanent brand, that could potentiallybecome huge. Even if Instagram starts to go downhill, with a web store, you will still bemaking huge profits. I could write anentire book about building a web storeand customer base with Instagram, butI’ll try to stick to the major points, just toget you started.
For starters, let’s talk about what youshould sell. The name of the game is tofind exclusive products that catertowards your niche and page audience. You need to find something that peoplecan’t buy in stores, that they NEED tobuy online. It also helps if it’s a viralproduct. If people are tagging theirfriends on Instagram when they see a
photo of your product, it’s a viralproduct. Let me give you an example. If you run apuppy/dog page, and you’re looking tostart a web store, do not sell generic, basic dog collars. Instead, sell custommade GPS tracking dog collars thatallow you to track your puppy from yourphone. Create a brand and build a
website around this specialty product, giving you a monopoly amongst all othercompetition. So how do I find these exclusiveproducts? Checkout alibaba.com. They have pagesand pages of incredible products thatyou’ve probably never seen before. The
best part being that they give you thechance to custom brand the products thatthey’ve designed with your logo. All you need to do is go to the searchbar, and look up the keyword of yourInstagram page. You’ll find hundreds ofextremely cool products that have thepotential to go viral. From there, emailor call the supplier, and ask if they can
custom brand the product. When buying from Alibaba, you’ll needto buy in bulk, in order to havereasonable profit margins. So clearsome space in your garage, and makesure you order test samples beforebuying a gigantic shipment. Ok, so I’ve found a cool product. Now
what? Now it’s time to build your website andyour brand. For starters, you’re going toneed a catchy name and a fantastic logo.If you’ve never designed a logo before,I’d recommend getting a professional todesign it for you. You can find logodesigners on fivver.com for five bucks.
You’re also going to need to build a webstore. To do this, I’d recommend usingeither wordpress and woo commerce orshopify. Shopify is definitely easier touse if you’ve never designed a websitebefore. It’s very user friendly, howeverthere are slightly more fees than woocommerce and wordpress. It will probably take you a couple of
hours to learn how to setup a web store, but I can assure you, it’s not ascomplicated as you may think. In fact, setting up a wordpress shop is a lot likesetting up a Facebook page. All youneed to do is add content and uploadphotos, and the theme takes care of therest of the work. If you get confused, besure to watch some youtube tutorials, asthere are countless videos out there with
valuable information. If you don’t have time to worry aboutsetting up a web store, you can alwayshire a professional from variousfreelance websites such as odesk. Retaining your Visitors When trying to build a brand, the most
important aspect is keeping in contactwith your visitors. It’s vitally importantto have a Facebook page, a snapchat, and some sort of email list that willallow you to connect with yourInstagram traffic. Mail chimp is a great website forbuilding mailing lists. Make sure yougive your visitors incentive when trying
to grab their contact information. Givethem 10% off if they enter their email, ordo free giveaways if they like yourFacebook page. Things like this reallycan go a long way. Don’t just use your own Instagrampage Once your web store has been built and
is working properly, you should lookinto buying Instagram promotions andshoutouts from other Instagram accounts. The more hype you can create aroundyour brand, the better it’s going to do inthe long run. Also invest in facebookads, as you can specifically targetpeople that would potentially beinterested in your product.
Promoting Amazon Products If you don’t want to put in the time andeffort to create your own web store, youcan always simply list your product onamazon or ebay, and send your Instagramtraffic to those websites. This will greatly boost your ranking onamazon, and will create even more
traffic and visitors that will buy yourproduct or products. For example, let’ssay that 20 people from your Instagramtraffic buy your product on Amazon.Amazon will recognize this, and will putyour product on their first page undercertain key words. Because Amazondoes this, you will then get an additional30 sales that come from Amazon’s trafficalone. So with Amazon and Instagram
working together, you can really makeyour product go viral. It’s definitely worth it to look intoAmazon’s FBA program, as they willtake shipments directly from websiteslike Alibaba. Affiliate Products
Using Instagram with affiliate marketingand affiliate websites is also a verypowerful strategy. What are affiliate products? Affiliate products are simply productsthat you promote and get a commissionon. So if you’re promoting applelaptops, and you sell 3 that cost $1000
you will make $300 if you make a 10%commission on each sale. Affiliate products work wonderfully ifthe products you are promoting viaInstagram are expensive. This is becauseyou’ll make larger commissions on moreexpensive products. An example of this is with a luxury
fashion page. If you choose to run aluxury fashion page on Instagram, andbuild an audience of potential buyersthat are wealthy and are looking to spendmoney, you will do very well. All youwould have to do is create a website thathas affiliate links to expensive/luxuryclothing items. If you sell 1 ten thousand dollar Rolex
watch to one of your Instagramfollowers, you will make a whopping$1000 from one single sale. If your pagehas 100k wealthy luxury followers, youcould potentially make millions a yearfrom that one affiliate website.Obviously I’m being optimistic, but Ijust wanted to give you an idea howpowerful affiliate marketing can be.
What’s even better is that most affiliateprograms have what’s called a cookie. Acookie basically means that if someoneclicks on your affiliate link throughInstagram, and comes back to thewebsite to buy the product 20 days later, you’ll still get a commission. So peoplehave up to a month in some cases to buythe product.
To find out if a product or brand has anaffiliate marketing option, scroll downto the bottom of their website and lookfor an affiliate area. I’d say 75% of alllarge companies or websites have anaffiliate sign up area. A great place to checkout is commissionjunction. They directly connect you withthousands of companies that offer
affiliate marketing and commissions.Another fantastic source is simplyAmazon. Amazon has the largest affiliatenetwork on the internet and paysthousands of affiliates each and everymonth. Etsy If you’re into making handmade or
vintage goods, definitely check out Etsy. It’s a gigantic market place that is solelydesigned for selling custom madeproducts. If you have a jewellery or fashionInstagram page, Etsy should probably beyour first go to. You can easily rank ongoogle simply by creating a powerfulEtsy listing with a detailed description.
And just like Amazon, the more salesyour Etsy products make, the better youwill rank on their website. Apps Phone apps can be extremely profitablein the long run if you can promote themproperly with Instagram. Before beingintimidated with phone apps, remember
that you can easily get them designed toyour specific qualifications. Personally, I have no app codingknowledge whatsoever, and rely entirelyon app developers to bring my ideas tolife. If you’re looking for someone to designan app for you, be sure to check out
upwork.com. They have thousands ofapp developers that are hungry for work. From my personal experience, the mostsuccessful apps that I have promoted onmy Instagram pages have been apps thatare directly related to my page’s niche. Also, games apps are particularly hardto advertise on Instagram unless youInstagram page is catered towards
gamers. When thinking about app ideas, try to think of an app that somehowsolves people’s problems. If you run anoff-road trucks page, develop an app thatgives people access to off road trailsand logging roads. If you run a musicrelated page, develop a guitar tuner appthat has some sort of twist that makes itsuperior to other apps.
Another niche that works really wellwith phone apps is photography. If yourun a photography page, you should lookinto developing an app that somehowuniquely lets you edit pictures. Maybeits vintage filters, collages or lightingeffects. People go crazy over editingtheir pictures, which is why aphotography app might be a fantasticoption.
One of the most successful apps I’veseen promoted was a puppy lover’sdating application. It’s basically an appthat brings single people with dogstogether. For a small subscription fee, people could meet up in person, walktheir dogs, and connect with each otherall through this simple dating app. It waspromoted on many of the large pet
Instagram pages and was extremelysuccessful. A great way to promote your app is to dogiveaways. In the case of the puppy app,a smart idea might be to give away aluxury dog collar, on condition that yourfollowers download and rate yourapplication. The more positive ratingsyour app gets, the better it will do in the
app store. Stock Photography Are you a photographer? Is yourInstagram page a photography basedpage? If so, stock photography isdefinitely something that you should lookinto.
Anyone that uses photos for commercialpurposes needs to buy stock photos forcontent. This includes blogs, ebooks, websites, and even YouTube videos. Some great websites that you shouldlook into are istockphoto, shutterstock, and fotolia. All you need to do is uploadyour collection of photos, tag themproperly, and these websites will do all
of the marketing and selling for you. Youget paid in royalties each and everymonth. One of the reasons why I lovestock photography so much is because itis passive income. Even if you go onvacation for a month, shutterstock willcontinue selling your portfolio of photos, paying you awesome royalties. Instagram can be a powerful way to
promote your stock photographybusiness. If people on Instagram loveyour photos and want to use them in theirwork, you can easily make sales usingstock photography. Another option is to sell your photos asprints. There are various websites outthere that allow you to upload yourphotos, and sell them as prints online
directly to your customers. You don’teven need to touch the print, the websitewill ship all of your artwork directly tothe customers via drop shipping. Depending on the quality of your photos, you could potentially sell large prints ofyour work for $500 and more! Peoplespend ridiculous amounts on artwork ifthey feel a connection with the artist.
Instagram is a fantastic way to build thatconnection. With products like artwork, it’s always agood idea to have an incentive behindyour work. Charity is an excellentoption. Let your Instagram followersknow that for every print you sell, you’lldonate 20% of the profits to charity. Notonly will you be helping people, you’ll
also double your sales by making yourproduct a charitable item. Clickbank I’ve seen many quotes and businesspages on Instagram selling Clickbankproducts. Clickbank products arebasically a collection of videos orebooks that teach you how to do a
certain task. An example of a Clickbank product is“How to make 100k flipping realestate.” They’re usually video coursesthat you can earn a commission on.Every time you make a sale, you canearn between $20 to $50 depending onhow expensive the original price is.
Clickbank products work great on fitnesspages, business pages, and even luxurypages. Even if you’re unsure aboutClickbank, head over to their websiteand checkout the various products theyoffer. You’ll be surprised at how manycourses are relatable to your niche. If you have a puppy Instagram page, youcan sell a Clickbank course teaching
people how to train their new puppy viaclicker training. All you need to do isleave the Clickbank link in your bio, andsend people over to the course’s landingpage. Every time you sell the course, you’ll make around $30. Once you get potential customers on thelanding page, the Clickbank courses takeover for you. Often times, these
Clickbank courses will have veryconvincing videos that entice people tobuy their products. All you need to do isget your followers onto those landingpages. The best part about Clickbank is thatmost of the courses are extremely highquality. People on Instagram will evenspecifically thank you for sending them
to that specific course. They’re almostalways packed full of information, andtaught by experts and professionals. Adsense If you’re posting viral, humours contenton a funny themed Instagram page, youmay want to look into Google Adsense.Adsense is a very simple way to easily
monetize your website or blog. Themore traffic you can send to yourwebsite, the more you will make onadsense. If you run a humour page on Instagram, try posting a short clip on your Instagrampage with a caption like: “watch the fullvideo on my website, buzzdaily.com” orsomething to that extent. You want to
post interesting articles and videos thatmake people click on over to yourwebsite out of sheer curiosity. I’m sure you’ve seen Facebook posts onyour news feed that completely draw inyour attention. Titles like: “Huge sharkattacks whale.” Then, when you click onthe image, you’re instantly taken over totheir website that has ads surrounding
the video. This method also works on Instagram ifdone correctly. In the example of ahumor page, you could post viral standup comedy or vines in which you onlypost a short clip of the full video. In thedescription, simply write, “Watch thefull video for free at BuzzVids.com.”
This method should be your last resort,in case all other methods don’t work. This is because people tend to getannoyed if you’re constantly using “clickbait” to get them over to your website. Itis a working method however, which iswhy I included it in my book. CPA Networks
This one can be a little tricky, which iswhy I included it as the last option formonetizing Instagram. CPA stands for“cost per action” which basically meansthat you get paid every time someoneenters their email, phone number, orpostal code. Companies will pay you between $1 to$20 for people to sign up for the website
or download an application. A popular example of this is with datingwebsites. Many dating websites will payyou $1 to $2 for every person you canget to sign up on their dating website. Soif you have an Instagram page that caterstowards romance, relationships, orsingle people, you might want to lookinto CPA offers.
A great website to checkout is calledCPAlead. They even have what’s calledcontent lockers which force people tocomplete a CPA offer if they want towatch a particular video, or download acertain link.
Chapter 11:Expanding yourAssets It’s easy to get caught up in monetizingyour Instagram account once you beginto generate a large following of people.
If a monetizing method is hurting yourInstagram account growth, you shouldprobably stop what you’re doing, andfocus entirely on growth. It’s alwaysbetter to expand now, and make moneylater. If you start to sellout your accounttoo early, it’s possible that you couldcompletely blow and ruin all theprogress you’ve made thus far.
In fact, I’d even go as far as to say thatyou should wait until you have 200kfollowers before you really start toattempt serious monetization. It’s fine tosell some shoutouts here and there, butfor the most part, you’ll be better off ifyou focus entirely on growing yourfollowers and your content. I know thatit sounds crazy to go an entire year or sowithout monetizing, but I can promise
you that it will be worth it in the end. If you have one large Instagram account, you should definitely looking intostarting a second, that is somewhatrelated to your first page. Give yoursecond page shoutouts, and start growingyour second page as fast as possible. The more Instagram pages you have, the
more sturdy your Instagram empire willbe. Another great idea is to move yourfollowers away from Instagram, andonto other websites. Youtube andsnapchat are great examples of this. I’veseen many large Instagram accountspromoting youtube videos in their biosand descriptions.
Even if you send 5k views to a youtubevideo, youtube will see this as a positivesign, and will start growing your videosfor you, organically. In fact, I’ve seenInstagram pages with only 300kfollowers promo a youtube video all theway up to one million views. Not only will you gain youtube
subscribers, but you will also be able tomonetize your youtube videos withgoogle Adsense ads. (The ads you seebefore the video starts). Also, you don’t need to be somecharismatic person to start a Youtubechannel. You can simply post clips thatyou find on Instagram. Let’s say forexample you run a truck related
Instagram page. A wise idea would be tostart a Youtube channel that posts shortclips of off roading truck videos. Youcan find thousands of these type ofvideos on Instagram if you search forcertain hashtags. So in short, you don’teven need to make the content! All youneed to do is put a bunch of short clipstogether, and perhaps add some royaltyfree music in the background. Overtime,
these videos will begin to rank onYoutube itself, and you will make moneyon autopilot month after month fromYoutube. Snapchat Once you start growing rapidly onInstagram, I highly advise you to startsending people over to a Snapchat page.
Snapchat is going to be the mostpowerful tool in the next couple ofyears. Because posts only last 24 hours, people feel the need and the urgency tocheck all of their Snapchat updates. Thisbasically guarantees that whatever youpost, will be seen. Even if you have a couple thousand
followers on Snapchat, that’s a couplethousand people that could potentiallysee your service or product directlyfrom you. If you run a puppy page on Instagram, and send people over to your Snapchat, you can easily advertise the productsfrom your web store on Snapchat. Areyou selling glow in the dark dog collars?
Perfect, simply record some video of thecollars for your snap story, and watchthe sales roll in. It’s a super powerfultool for marketing, perhaps even morepowerful than Instagram itself.
Chapter 12: A Wordof Warning Throughout your Instagram journey youwill encounter people that will offer yoularge amounts of money for yourInstagram pages. Do not do businesswith them.
I’ve even had one person offer as muchas $50k via a bank transfer. My advice to you, is never sell out. YourInstagram page will be twice asvaluable in a year’s time and you will beable to generate much more money thanwhat people will offer. You also never know who you’re
dealing with. You could be talking toscam artists or even skilled hackers.Stay away from these people, andalways reject money offers. Don’t evennegotiate or leave selling your Instagrampage on the table. Email Scams Also be careful what you are
downloading in email attachments. Ifsomeone is sending you a video for ashoutout, get them to send it to you viaKIK or another messaging system. Emailcan be dangerous as people can sendviruses and keyloggers through emailattachments. (keyloggers are basically programs thathackers use to snatch your passwords).
Conclusion: First of all, I’d like to thank you fortaking the time to read my book. I hope itunlocked any barriers that stood in yourway from making money on Instagram. As a final word, I’d like to remind youto always invest in knowledge. Always
