grammar writing question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
PURPOSE
This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following:
Compose a literacy narrative.
Develop your understanding and practice of rhetorical strategies and composition skills.
Provide meaningful feedback to your peers.
OVERVIEW
Throughout the course, you will compose a range of written texts that you will workshop with your peers. In contrast to a formal peer review in which you evaluate and provide feedback on the complete draft of someone else’s text, a workshop provides you the opportunity to provide and receive feedback on part of a draft, as that draft is still in the process of being composed.
This workshop will allow you to get constructive, concrete feedback on a section of your literacy narrative. You will provide and receive feedback from your peers, allowing your draft to take shape with the responses, expectations, and needs of real readers in mind.
ACTION ITEMS
Part 1: Initial Post (due Sunday of Module 1)
Refer to the Discussion Guidelines.
Note that this workshop assignment will span Modules 1 and 2, with the initial post due at the end of M odule 1 and the peer feedback due Wednesday of Module 2.
Review the Literacy Narrative assignment in Module 2. This is the assignment you will begin drafting for this discussion post.
By the due date indicated, post at least two paragraphs of your literacy narrative draft. In your post, provide brief context for this draft – what parts of this story remain to be told?
You may post a longer section, including a complete first draft, but this is not required.
Part 2: Peer Feedback (due Wednesday of Module 2)

Choose a classmate’s post that does not yet have a reply (peer feedback). Post a 1-2 paragraph reply to your peer that responds to at least one of the following question sets:
How did you respond to your peer’s draft section as a reader? What interested you? What moved you? What seemed clear or unclear to you? Were there any moments where you wanted the writer to say more or less about a particular idea, event, or description?
Compare your peer’s work to one of the published literacy narratives we have read in class. Do you see any similarities in terms of the story arc, the rhetorical strategies (strategies the writer uses to ensure the audience understands the message) each author uses, or some other point of comparison? If you do see similarities, what distinguishes your peer’s work from what we’ve been reading?
Highlight a particular passage that you found noteworthy. What works well about this passage? What might be developed or revised?
